4 DRINK

4 DRINK

The Object stems from the attempt to make the motion of “noble drink” more accessible and to solve the problem of space in the universe of drink.

At the same time it attempts to stimulate in the consumer appreciation for the appropriate and correct use of glasses for wine and spirits. Hence the reason for 4Drink, designed not only for the market niche of experts and wine-tasters but also in view of discerning consumers. Thus we have the “product system” directed to a wide target.

4DRINK IS A SYSTEM:

A “Matryoshka” made for drinking, composed of four glasses to choose from according to what the liquid of choice is and the moment:

1. Aperitif - Water

2. Wine

3. Grappa

4. Whiskey

Therefore: aperitif, meal or after-dinner... ou a little vase

A FUN OBJECT TO PUT TOGETHER LIKE A PUZZLE. A “MATRYOSHKA” THAT HIDES AT ITS CENTER A SMALL DROP FOR STRONG SPIRITS OR GRAPPA, SUPPORTED BY A TULIP FOR WINE, CUPPED BY AN OBLIQUE SHAPE FOR AN APERITIF OR WATER AND ALL INSIDE A WIDE OBLIQUE CYLINDER FOR WHISKEY.

THE SHAPE

After a careful study of the “glass product” market and having verified the great amount of possible shapes, we chose to maintain and not revolutionize the “classic shape” of stemless glasses, but rather to make better use of it creating a new and amusing set of tasting glasses. The border of the wine glass is not just a simple circle, it is shaped to respond to three different motions; to receive the neck of the bottle while pouring, avoiding drops, to leave space for the nose to pick up the bouquets, to leave enough finger space to remove the grappa glass.

COLORS & MATERIALS

Transparent glass to enhance the color of wine or spirits.

The color turns 4Drink into an amusing object and protects by becoming the packaging of the rest. Its weight, half of that of glass is added to the glasses inside, the perfect cohesion between glass and plastic guarantees the perfect stability of the whole product. The closed product bears an air of mystery; an oblique line separates the semi-transparent color from the transparent glass allowing a glimpse without explaining the function of the whole and does not let dust in. The glass glasses are produced with the “blowing-press” process and the PEcon by “thermo-form”.
